Celebrating over 90 years of Conservation
Founded in 1922, the Izaak Walton League is one of the nation's oldest and most respected conservation organizations. With a powerful grassroots network of more than 250 local chapters nationwide, the League takes a common-sense approach toward protecting our country's natural heritage and improving outdoor recreation opportunities for all Americans. We invite you to learn about our work and to join us in supporting important conservation initiatives here in Frederick County.
What is an Ike?
Frederick Chapter is big in wildlife conservation and the shooting sports for over 90 years. We are not a gun club but have stricter rules than they do. We require a NRA range safety officer (RSO) on the range at all times. We offer this class every three months on a Sunday and new member range privileges will be limited until you take this class. We teach many other class for the public include Maryland Hunter Safety and NRA Training. These class help us support our award winning youth program.
Join Us! Be a part of the tradition and become an Ike! Your contribution to preserving the American tradition and promoting conservation in our community will help sustain our environment and way of living for another 90 years! Click here to join.
